Welcome!
Thank you for your interest in supporting the work of The Salvation Army. With proper planning, you, your family, possibly even your family business and your favorite charities, will be able to benefit from your goodwill. For example, by donating you can reduce your capital gains or inheritance taxes, retain income for life, secure an income tax deduction, and/or increase the net value of your estate for your loved ones.

As a Certified Gift Planner with over ten years of experience, I am frequently asked to lecture to groups such as the Cincinnati Bar Association, the Northern Kentucky Estate Planning Council and The Greater Cincinnati Financial Planners Association.  As an employee of The Salvation Army, I am here to help you determine what options or simply, "language" should be included in your plans.  I work directly with you and your attorney as needed.

If you are considering including The Salvation Army as a beneficiary of your will or estate it is important to note that there is no such organization legally recognized as "The Salvation Army of Lima". The Army operates in our region as a New York organization.  An estate gift not made according to specific criteria will be allocated throughout the eastern United States according to the laws of New York as well as the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB). As the Planned Giving Director for The Salvation Army in Lima I can help construct the proper bequest language consistent with your legacy goals to ensure your charitable intent is allocated entirely local.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call or email me.
