The Northern Kentucky Auxiliary was started in 1990 (then called Kenton County Auxiliary)by former members of the Salvation Army Booth Hospital Auxiliary. After the Booth Hospital ceased operations, the auxiliary changed its focus to assisting the various needs of the Salvation Army in Northern Kentucky. The Auxiliary raises funds to help support The Salvation Army After-School program and Summer Day Camp at the Covington Community Center of The Salvation Army. The auxiliary funding also helps many Northern Kentucky children to attend Camp SWONEKY.

"Our mission, through the resolute efforts of its dedicated volunteers, is to provide assistance for the various needs of The Salvation Army of Northern Kentucky. Through fundraising activities, the Auxiliary concentrates on providing financial support to benefit the after-school programs and summer camping opportunities made possible by The Salvation Army for the underprivileged children in our community."
