Camp SWONEKY Auxiliary

The Camp SWONEKY Auxiliary was founded in 1956 to assist in the development of The Salvation Army's Camp SWONEKY. The camp took its name from the initials for The Salvation Army division: Southwest Ohio and Northeast Kentucky. The camp is located 35 miles northeast of Cincinnati off Interstate I-71, adjacent to Fort Ancient.

Camp SWONEKY is a resident summer camp covering approximately 280 acres. Primarily, it serves under-privileged children with a week-long experience of nature, crafts, recreation and spiritual development. Senior citizens and adult groups have also enjoyed the camping experience.

The primary fundraiser for the Camp Auxiliary is the HOPE for Camp SWONEKY event, held each Spring. When details are available about the 2016 HOPE event, they will be updated on this page.
