Monetary gifts are an excellent way to provide The Salvation Army with the immediate funds necessary to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the people we serve. These donations include checks, money orders, and credit card donations, which can be given through our secured online donation site, through the mail, or by phone.

Benefits to you: By making a cash donation to The Salvation Army, you are able to claim a charitable deduction in the year you make the gift. If you cannot utilize the entire deduction in that year, deductions may be carried over for an additional five years.

Online Donations

While making a secured online donation to The Salvation Army, your gift can be designated for the benefit of a specific program or service, or for The Salvation Army's general use and purposes in your area. You can specify where you want your money to go and how you would like it used at the time of your donation.

Additionally, through The Salvation Army's online form you can also make a gift in memory of someone, in honor of someone or even set up an ongoing gift.

Fifth-Third Bank Online Bill Payment

An alternative method for making an online donation is through The Salvation Army's partnership with Fifth-Third Bank. 5/3 Logo

Those who are customers of Fifth-Third Bank and use the online bill payment system can now include The Salvation Army in their charitable gifting activities. 

While online paying bills at, simply choose The Salvation Army from among those listed on the Common Payee list.  It's just that easy!

Friends of the Army

For some donors, the preference is to receive less mail, and to have a means to provide an on-going contribution to the mission of The Salvation Army.  We call this program "Friends of the Army", and encourage you to consider this as an option when considering monetary donations to The Salvation Army.  As a "Friend of the Army" you can determine how much you give, and how frequently you make that donation.  The choices are all up to you.Join Friends of the Army

Online Red Kettle

Another great way to support The Salvation Army in the online arena is to participate in the Online Red Kettle program (  We encourage you to visit this site, and consider how you can sponsor an online kettle, join others that have sponsored an online kettle, have online competitions among team kettles, and the like.  It's a fun, convenient and community-building way to help The Salvation Army.
