The Salvation Army Will Host Local Estate & Charitable Gift Planning Conference

Free Estate Planning Event Provides Continuing Education Credits for Professionals

Cincinnati, OH (August 12, 2015) – The Salvation Army today announced that it will host the 23rd Annual Estate & Charitable Gift Planning Institute to be held Monday, September 21st.  The event will be held at the Savannah Center at Chappell Crossing, located in West Chester.  The event is a service to the professional advisor community by The Salvation Army’s Estate & Charitable Gift Planning Institute. There is no cost to attendees, who can earn continuing education credits for attending, but space is limited so pre-register by September 11th.

“We’re delighted to offer this service to the local professional advisor community,” stated Melanie Parscal, Director of Planned Giving at The Salvation Army.  “Attorneys, accountants, financial advisors and other planning professionals find these seminars to be very beneficial exploring current developments that affect their work with clients.” 

This year’s seminar is titled “Tailoring the Estate Planning Wardrobe: Adapting Traditional Techniques for a Better Fit.”  Faculty include Ann B. Burns, J.D. and Samuel A. Donaldson, J.D., LL.M, who will present recent developments in the areas of ethical crossroads in designing and implementing plans, tax and case law, charitable planning in the current environment, and determining which strategies to adopt and adapt.
