Annual Luncheon to Feature Major Nancy Beauchamp as Guest Speaker
Cincinnati, OH (February 20, 2015) – The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) Auxiliary today announced plans for their annual fundraiser. The event, which benefits The Salvation Army’s Adult Rehabilitation Center, will be held Thursday, May 14th, 2015. The event includes a silent auction, boutique, Kitchen Korner shop and luncheon. Guest speaker for this year’s Mayfair is Major Nancy Beauchamp, Administrator at The Salvation Army ARC. The event will be held at the Radisson Hotel in Covington, starting at 11:00 am. This year’s theme is “Behold! All Things are Become New!” taken from Paul’s second letter to the Corinthians in scripture.
“The men at the ARC benefit from the ways we’ve been able to enhance their experience in the program,” stated Mary Davis, president of The Salvation Army ARC Auxiliary. “Our Mayfair event is a fun way for us to raise funds that provide in many ways for the men at the ARC."
In more than five decades of service and support, the ARC Auxiliary has walked side-by-side with the men enrolled at the ARC, providing them with monthly birthday dinners, fellowship, encouragement, and gifts at Christmastime. Proceeds from the ARC Auxiliary’s fundraising activities have been used to purchase blankets, curtains, washers & dryers and other goods to enhance the living conditions for the men in the ARC dorms.
“The Auxiliary group is such a blessing to us,” stated Major Nancy Beauchamp, Administrator at the regional Salvation Army ARC. “We serve hundreds of men each year through our facility and programs, and the women of the Auxiliary help us immeasurably in this work. Thanks to their support, commitment and contributions, each man is able to have a more positive experience at the center.”
As in the past, this year’s Mayfair fundraiser will feature a silent auction, boutique and Kitchen Korner shop starting at 11:00 am, followed by the luncheon at Noon and the guest speaker. Kitchen Korner includes an assortment of delicious, homemade items. Tickets for Mayfair are $40 per person ($20 of which is tax-deductible).
