Iconic Red Kettles Will Surround Stadium Plaza Prior to Monday Night's Game
Cincinnati, OH (December 19, 2014) – The Salvation Army in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky today announced that its 2014 Kettle Campaign will have a ‘final drive for the goal’ at Paul Brown Stadium in conjunction with the Broncos-Bengals game, Monday, December 22nd. The iconic red kettles and bell ringers will be present all around the stadium plaza level, collecting donations from football fans as they enter the game. The kettles will be in place starting at 6:30 pm until the kick-off at 8:30 pm.
“We’re deeply grateful to the Bengals for partnering with us for this special collection,” stated Major Larry Ashcraft, Divisional Commander at The Salvation Army. “We’ve had a great, long-standing relationship with the Bengals, and we’re eager to engage with the fans on Monday night. I’m challenging every fan to bring a couple of dollars to throw in the kettles pre-game – it’s a great way to give back and help out a neighbor in need at Christmas.”
In addition to this special collection in conjunction with the Cincinnati Bengals, the 2014 Kettle Campaign is present at nearly 100 local retail stores, with Kroger, Walmart and Sam’s Club as primary partner sites. The campaign runs six days a week, generally 10 am to 8 pm daily. The final day of the campaign is Wednesday, December 24th. Those interested in supporting the campaign are encouraged to contribute whenever they see the familiar red kettles. Those not able to visit a kettle can donate online at www.onlineredkettle.org, or www.salvationarmycincinnati.org, by calling 1-800-SAL-ARMY or by sending a check to “The Salvation Army” at 114 E. Central Parkway, Cincinnati, OH 45202.
