Cincinnati, OH (May 26, 2015) – The Salvation Army today announced that it inducted Mr. Brian Busken, Vice President at Busken Bakery, to the Cincinnati Advisory Board. Like all Salvation Army Advisory Board members, Mr. Busken was tasked with aiding The Salvation Army in Greater Cincinnati as it works to fulfill its mission.
“We’re delighted to have Brian join our Advisory Board,” stated Major Larry Ashcraft, Divisional Commander at The Salvation Army. “Brian brings his work experience, his innovative thinking and his commitment to the local community to the tasks before us, as we serve those most in need.”
Brian Busken currently serves as Vice President of Busken Bakery, along with his brother Dan Busken for the past 9 years. Brian’s focus at Busken Bakery is Marketing and Product Innovation. Brian grew up in the family bakery business, and graduated from Xavier University in 2000. He worked in a local advertising agency for several years, then rejoined the family business in 2006. Active in the local bakery business, Mr. Busken currently serves as President of the Greater Cincinnati Retail Bakers Association, which works diligently each year in partnership with The Salvation Army for the National Donut Day celebration, the first Friday of June each year. When he’s not working and volunteering his time, Brian enjoys spending time with his wife and children, fishing and golfing.
Members of The Salvation Army Advisory Board actively participate in the organization’s operations, programs and fundraising. “We’re grateful that Brian has eagerly engaged with our Board committee functions, joining and already contributing to the Marketing & Corporate Relations committee,” stated Matt Pearce, Development Director at The Salvation Army. “The Board members are an invaluable resource in our efforts to serve the Greater Cincinnati community; we simply can’t achieve all we do without their support.”
