The Salvation Army Inducts Alan Greenwell to Cincinnati Advisory Board

Lends Financial Skills & Leadership to Local Efforts

Cincinnati, OH (January 14, 2015) – The Salvation Army today announced that it inducted Mr. Alan C. Greenwell, CPA, MST, to the Cincinnati Advisory Board.  Mr. Greenwell, partner at Ernst & Young LLP (EY), was tasked with aiding The Salvation Army in Greater Cincinnati as it works to fulfill its mission.

“We’re delighted to have Alan join our Advisory Board,” stated Major Larry Ashcraft, Divisional Commander at The Salvation Army.  “Alan brings his work experience, his energy and his commitment to the local community to the tasks before us, as we serve those most in need.”

Alan C. Greenwell has more than 26 years of public accounting experience, primarily serving closely-held businesses, private equity backed companies, high net worth families and family offices.  Alan has spent 16 years in Cincinnati with EY, where he has exhibited leadership both personally and professionally throughout his career.  Mr. Greenwell completed undergraduate studies at Iona College in New Rochelle, NY, where he received his Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting.  Alan completed his Masters of Science in Taxation at the University of Cincinnati in 2003.

Mr. Greenwell has been a consistent donor of his time and talent to benefit the local community, currently serving on the board of the Northern Kentucky University Entrepreneurial Institute. Past board activities include the Dayton Art Institute, the Xavier Entrepreneurial Center, and the Better Business Bureau. Alan and his wife, Lynne, have three children and reside in Loveland.

Members of The Salvation Army Advisory Board actively participate in the organization’s operations, programs and fundraising. “We look forward to getting Alan engaged with our Board committee functions,” stated Matt Pearce, Development Director at The Salvation Army.  “The Board members are an invaluable resource in our efforts to serve the Greater Cincinnati community; we simply can’t achieve all we do without their support.”
