The Salvation Army Receives $15,000 from the Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr./U.S. Bank Foundation

Funds Will Provide Support for The Salvation Army's Local Christmas Programs

Cincinnati, OH (November 26, 2014) – The Salvation Army today announced that it received $15,000 from The Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr./U.S. Bank Foundation. The funds provide support for The Salvation Army’s Christmas programs. Each year at Christmas, The Salvation Army operates several programs to provide Christmas assistance to local seniors, families and children, ensuring they have gifts, toys and meals for the holiday.  In recent years, approximately 20,000 individuals are served each Christmas through these programs.

“We’re very grateful to The Haile/U.S. Bank Foundation for their support of The Salvation Army’s ministry to local families at Christmas,” stated Major Larry Ashcraft, Divisional Commander at The Salvation Army.  “Our organization has a long heritage of service to families and children at Christmas, and supporters like this make it possible.”

The Salvation Army’s Christmas programs have been implemented each year for many decades.  Adopt-a-Family, Toy Shop and meal programs are a staple of the Christmas season, providing support to thousands of local families and seniors each year. Last year, nearly 20,000 individuals in the local community were served, receiving gifts, toys, books, and meals to brighten their holiday.
