A Great Camping Experience Awaits Children & Families This Summer
Cincinnati, OH (June 11, 2014) –The Salvation Army in Cincinnati announced today that it has nearly 200 openings remaining for its City Camp and Single-Parent Camp programs this Summer, which it is eager to fill. In an effort to get children and families registered for these opportunities, open registration is being offered, on a first-come, first-served basis.
City Camp is a five-day residential camp offered to children ages 7 to 13 who live in Hamilton County. Single-Parent Camp is a three-day residential camp offered to single-adult households in Hamilton County with children ages 5 to 15. Each camp is very affordable for participants, as part of the ministry of The Salvation Army: City Camp is only $20 per child; Single Parent camp is only $30 per family, regardless of the number of age-appropriate children that attend. These camps are a great value and a wonderful opportunity for low-income families in Hamilton County to enjoy a life-changing camping experience.
City Camp will be held June 27th thru July 3rd. Single-Parent Camp will be held August 1st to the 3rd. Both camps will be held at The Salvation Army’s Camp SWONEKY. Camp SWONEKY is a 250+ acre campground operated by The Salvation Army, located in Oregonia, OH, about 10 miles north of Kings Island. The facility offers outdoor games, horseback riding, hiking and climbing, swimming, farm animals, arts and crafts, and much more, all in a beautiful forested setting.
