The Salvation Army Inducts Two Local Executives into Cincinnati Advisory Board

Gino McGowens and Brett Connelly Lend Skills and Leadership to Local Efforts

 

Cincinnati, OH (September 19, 2014) – The Salvation Army today announced that it inducted two new members to the Cincinnati Advisory Board.  Mr. Gino McGowens, of the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky African-American Chamber of Commerce, and Mr. Brett Connelly, of Jones Lang LaSalle, were tasked with aiding The Salvation Army in Greater Cincinnati as it works to fulfill its mission.

“We’re delighted to have Gino and Brett join our Advisory Board,” stated Major Tim Lyle, General Secretary at The Salvation Army.  “Both men bring their work experience, their energy and their commitment to the local community to the tasks before us as we serve those most in need.”

Gino McGowens currently serves as Senior Director of Member Relations for the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky African American Chamber of Commerce. Previously, Mr. McGowens held sales and account management positions with Xerox, AT&T, Pacific Bell and Verizon Business, with increasing levels of leadership and responsibility.  He attended the University of Cincinnati and majored in Political Science. He enjoys baseball, golf, reading and spending time with his family.

Brett Connelly currently serves as Senior Associate with Jones Lang LaSalle, as a member of the Cincinnati industrial brokerage and leasing team. He is responsible for providing real estate transaction representation and agency services for clients throughout the Tri-State area.  Previously, Mr. Connelly spent time in Washington, D.C., as a liaison for national associations focusing on regulatory and legislative issues. He holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees from James Madison University, and is currently earning his MBA from Miami University (OH).

Members of The Salvation Army Advisory Board actively participate in the organization’s operations, programs and fundraising. “We look forward to getting Gino and Brett engaged with our Board committee functions,” stated Matt Pearce, Development Director at The Salvation Army.  “The Board members are an invaluable resource in our efforts to serve the Greater Cincinnati community; we simply can’t achieve all we do without their support.”
